Does size really matter when it comes to fuel lines?
According to the fuel delivery system experts at Fuelab, it does. It’s because fuel line size and length have a direct effect on the amount of fuel pressure drop your fuel system will experience. Too much pressure drop can inhibit the performance of both carbureted and EFI systems and can adversely affect the way a bypass or return-style regulator operates.
The topic is important (and overlooked) enough that Fuelab’s Jon Light did an entire article on the topic. In the article, Light uses specific examples to illustrate how fuel line size affects performance in carbureted applications versus EFI setups.
So how much of a role does fuel line size play in fuel system performance?
We’ll let Light and Fuelab take it from here: Read More
